070 From the base up of this Kentucky Pound Gap Road Cut on Route 23 this exposure begins with the Devonian Ohio Shale, and the Bedford and Beria Sequences, the Mississippian the Sunbury Shale and Grainger Formation at the front of the Pine Mountain Thrust in the Appalachian Basin.
