Introduction to Sequence Stratigraphy from Outcrops of Sedimentary Rocks:

This page is the gateway that links to exercises that show how to make sequence stratigraphic interpretations of outcrops of sedimentary rocks using the Lower Cretaceous clastic shoreline sections exposed in the Book Cliffs of Utah and the Miocene Carbonate reef facies exposed in the coastal cliffs of Mallorca, Spain. Both set of exercises for either the clastics or the carbonates describe the first steps in the use of measured sections to build sequences stratigraphic models of near shore depositional systems.
