Parallelism of strata to sequence boundaries, with no consequent stratal terminations against the boundaries (Mitchum, AAPG Memoir 26).
Allen (1983) when describing fluviatile systems recognized that the boundaries of sedimentary bodies may be non- erosional or erosional. He identified four surfaces:- Concordant -non-erosional (normal bedding) Discordant- non-erosional reactivation surface Concordant - erosional Discordant - erosional contacts References References Mitchum Jr., R.M., 1977, Seismic stratigraphy and global changes of sea level.
