This is the second gallery of sedimentary structures of deepwater systems and includes outcrops of the Devonian and Mississippian of the Appalachians and the Upper Carboniferous of the Shannon basin in Co Clare in Ireland.
The focus of this portion of the gallery is on graded beds and illustrates these with a number the fining upward Bouma sequences common to many turbidite terrains. In a seperate section below this images of condensed sequences, slumping and hummocky cross beds.
