Roadcuts on Ky State Rt 627 between I 75 & I 64 - to SW of Winchester

Shallow shelf (within wave base) to intertidal carbonates and shales of Ordovician Cincinnatian Group.  Most of the bioclastic limestones represent layers reworked by storm waves on a shallow shelf. shales are probably part of the storm sorting. Abundant brachiopod, bryozoan and trilobite faunas occur in these limestones.
